Omega Adds In-House Helium Leak TestingOmega Precision has invested in its first helium leak detector to provide faster and more economical service for customers who have products that require helium leak testing. "Outsourcing helium leak testing was just too costly and time consuming" said Richard M. Venegas, CEO. "By buying the required equipment, we can now control helium leak testing under our own roof, generating savings in dollars and lead-time that we pass on to our customers."Omega Precision has long been familiar with vacuum systems in machining thin-walled components, and it has the personnel with the technical expertise to implement helium leak testing. "With the new leak detector and our machining capability, we expect to have no trouble building custom vacuum chambers and test fixtures for our customers who need helium leak testing," adds Rick Venegas, Production Manager.
